The Problem
Summit Insurance was drowning in paper. They had over 40 satellite offices in metropolitan Atlanta. Each office was writing multiple policies all of which were being couriered daily to the corporate office. At the corporate office, an entire floor was dedicated to filing all these policies with a dedicated staff of four who did nothing all day but file and pull policy information and fax back to the offices.
The Solution
PaperHost came in and did an evaluation. The first thing we observed was that all their polices were printed from their proprietary agency software system. We worked with their developer to print a barcode with a guaranteed unique identifier on the first page of the policy. Now when the policy was scanned after execution, it would be immediately associated to the individuals account.
PaperHost also provided Summit with our Application Programmer Interface (API) to image enable their agency software. This allows them to install a view the image button in their application that communicates through a secure https: connection to retrieve and view the specific policy they need.
Summary
Summit reduced their filing staff from four people to one. Just that one cost savings alone paid for PaperHost services many times over. Faster customer service response, as well as, tighter control and security of their most vital asset made the switch a No Brainer!
