Each application represents a body of documents with identical
indexing criterion. For example, you might put your Human Resource
documents in one
application that indexes each document by social security number
and name. Another application for the Accounts Payable department
might use invoice number and invoice date. Security can be controlled
down to the application level, at which the user is either
excluded or granted specific access rights to that application.

To that end, we deploy the very latest in Web security technologies
to insure that your documents can only be accessed by the person(s)
to whom you have granted permission.
The front line of defense is our firewall system that controls access
to our Web servers. No client data is ever stored on a Web server.
Your request to access data and to view documents is controlled through
a tightly controlled tunnel into our data DMZ, which can only
be traversed by our Web applications using full authentication
on each request. Your data is stored in isolated data tables
to prevent a possible
mixing with other client data. In short, we have analyzed every
point in the network, as well as the design of our document
and data repository, to ensure that only authorized personnel
gain access to the valuable information we host.
To prove we are doing the job right, we hire independent third party
auditors to test our security model and attempt to penetrate
our defenses. Once we are both under the legal protection of
a non-disclosure agreement, we will gladly back up our claims
by providing you with our written security policy, disaster recovery
and business recovery plans.

- Length of time to store each document after loading
- Estimated size of user population and how often they access documents
- Special Needs (monthly CD burning, customizations required, etc.)
