Production Scanning and Batch Indexing
phSCAN is a feature-rich document scanning application designed specifically for a high volume production shop that needs to drive high-end scanners. Built around the Kofax platform, phSCAN is the answer to drive any scanner supported by Kofax. phSCAN was developed for our document hosting customers with tight integration for indexing and uploading documents to PaperHost.
phSCAN leverages the power of the Kofax Adrenaline boards or Kofax VRS Software providing advanced image processing features at scan time such as de-skew, de-speckle, black border removable, contrast, and image clarity to name a few. Documents may be indexed either at scan time or batch indexed. phSCAN offers the capability to upload to PaperHost in the background and on your schedule.
The indexing is powerful with customizable index fields and a full range of indexing options including barcode reading and ODBC connectivity allowing you to link keyed values to any ODBC compliant database. Profiles for scanning jobs can be saved with specific setting such as scanner settings, index fields, page recognition etc. for repeat scanning jobs. When the work is done, completed batches are released directly to PaperHost. Within minutes, you can access your documents online, worldwide. All of this is delivered for a single license per work station with no per click fees.
