However, using PaperHost phCONNECT, we have teamed with some of the leading providers of scanning hardware, software and multi-function devices on the market to streamline the scanning, indexing and uploading to a customer's online repository.
phCONNECT is designed to link commercial desktop and departmental scanning solutions directly to document libraries hosted at PaperHost, making us the document scanning company of choice for distributed document capture. This de-centralized approach to scanning means that document capture can be pushed closer to the source - namely the people that produce the documents.
PaperHost has partnered with Visioneer and Xerox branded scanner lines, using Visioneer's patented OneTouch technology. The task of scanning and uploading to PaperHost is a "One Touch" operation. OneTouch uses the industry leading Virtual ReScan technology from Kofax to achieve superior image quality from any supported scanner.
phCONNECT is configured as a profile within the OneTouch software so that users can automatically scan and save document images on PaperHost. The images are transmitted directly from the desktop to PaperHost utilizing SSH encryption. This tight integration provides the user a simple solution to a sophisticated problem.
