phSCAN is designed to drive one or multiple scanners in a unified, batch managed environment.

Built on the Kofax® engine, phSCAN can drive any scanner supported by Kofax. That includes over 80% of the high volume scanner market. The Kofax software layer handles all image enhancement tasks while phSCAN manages the flow of the job.

The indexing tools embedded in phSCAN allow the operator to hand-key lookup values into the index fields for the destination file cabinet on PaperHost. But advanced tools like data linking, barcode reading, pull-down lists and more, make indexing fast an efficient. Indexing profiles can tightly define allowable field values and allow appropriate fields to carry their values forward from document to document until changed by the user.

Automatic document separation using barcodes, special patch codes or even blank pages means the hopper can be filled to let the scanner race forward at its rated speed.

Any number of users can participate in the scanning and/or the indexing of documents. This means you can size the number of scanners and operators to fit the job and still have all users interconnected to the workflow.

When the work is done, completed batches are released directly to PaperHost. Within minutes, you can access your documents on-line, world wide.

All of this is delivered for a single license per work station and there are never any per-click or per-scan fees.
